EXCITING OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL SONOGOGRAPHERS IN SOUTHEAST TEXASTo celebrate our uniqueness in the field of ultrasound, the Houston Chapter for the Society of Vascular Ultrasound (HSNIVT) has put together a cruise out of Galveston, TX on Carnival Cruise Lines. Come and join us for our ‘first of its kind’ event as we sail to the Western Caribbean. We are applying for CME’s to be included as part of the cruise. Last but not least, we are including family and friends, to which we say, “the more, the merrier.” We hope you will consider participating. Look forward to hearing from you. NEWS FLASH
United Healthcare, one America’s largest insurers with over 70 million participants, has announced that it will require its providers to submit assurance of accreditation by either the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) or ACR by March of 2008. This policy will significantly affect providers of Vascular Imaging and other imaging procedures.

If you or someone you know has achieved accreditation for their lab, passed their registration exam, published a paper, had an abstract accepted or anything else to deserve some praise, please e-mail the information to KBroadbent@tmhs.org so that deserving individuals can be recognized for their hard work.
